Terms of Service

Last updated: 14 May 2026

These Terms cover your use of Readout. By using the app, you agree to them.

1. What Readout does

Readout is a scheduled personal digest. You pick a daily time and describe a topic. At that time, Readout looks for recent developments about your topic, summarises them with the help of AI, and sends you a digest. The service is for personal, informational use.

2. Who can use it

You need to be at least 13 to use Readout (or older if your country requires it). Your account is tied to your device — there's no email or password to manage.

3. Your topics

You keep the rights to the topics you create. You grant us permission to use them only to run the service for you. Please don't use Readout for topics that are illegal, harmful, or that target specific private individuals, and don't include sensitive personal information in your topic text.

4. Things you agree not to do

5. About the digests

Digests are produced automatically with the help of AI, based on public web content. They may be incomplete or inaccurate, and the linked sources are not under our control. Readout is for general information only and is not professional advice — please verify anything important before acting on it.

6. Availability and changes

We do our best to keep Readout running smoothly, but we can't guarantee that every digest or notification will arrive on time. We may also change, pause, or stop features as the app evolves.

7. Price

Readout is free to use today. If we ever add paid features, you'll see the price clearly before being charged.

8. Ending your use

You can delete your account from inside the app at any time. We may also suspend accounts that break these Terms.

9. Disclaimers and liability

Readout is provided "as is", without warranties. To the extent allowed by law, we won't be responsible for indirect or consequential damages arising from your use of the service.

10. App store terms

If you got the app from the Apple App Store or Google Play, that store's terms also apply to you.

11. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Türkiye. If a dispute can't be resolved informally, the courts of Istanbul will have jurisdiction, unless local consumer-protection rules in your country say otherwise.

12. Updates

We may update these Terms over time. When we do, we'll change the date at the top.
